2023 is a little more than halfway over, and we wanted to share with you some of the favorite first dance songs from this year so far! There are some timeless ones that will never get old, modern songs that will be popular for years to come, and some unique ones that we just love as wedding DJs!
Our wedding DJs love getting to see what song you are going to pick as your first dance as a married couple! It is so special to hear what song matters to you and describes you as a couple.
#1 Perfect by Ed Sheeran
This is a modern song, but a pick that has been chosen over and over again. We can’t complain because we love hearing this song come on the speakers. So many of our couples absolutely love this one!
#2 Marry You by Bruno Mars
This song has become increasingly popular as a first dance song, and we 100% understand why. The title of this song says it all, and the vibes are perfection for your wedding day.
#3 Love Story by Taylor Swift
There are a lot of Swifties out there that need a Taylor Swift song to start of their married era. This is one that is an older Taylor Swift song but is still a favorite of many. It is also a fun song that will have everyone singing along.
#4 At Last by Etta James
An oldie by a goodie. We love when couples break out an oldie to be played as their first dance song.
#5 Isn’t She Lovely by Stevie Wonder
Everyone can sing the main lines of this song, and your guests will have hearts in their eyes when they hear this song being played.
#6 Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts
This is one of the more emotional songs on this list. It speaks about the journey, heartbreak, and loss that brought you as a couple together. I know we’ve had a few tears in our eyes when this has been played before.
#7 Speechless by Dan + Shay
This one has been around for a few years now and is always a couple favorite. It has the slow country vibe that is perfect for a wedding setting.
#8 Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding
This song is one of the more intimate songs that have been played as a first dance song, but the lyrics speak to a couple’s connection with one another.
