If you have not traveled to Dubuque, Iowa, this is a must add to your list. Dubuque is a bustling city with gorgeous view of the Mississippi River. This makes it one of the most photo pretty places in Iowa. At All In One Bridal we love to hear your suggestions of places for engagement photography sessions. We also have a few favorite places of our own to take photos at. Below you will find five of our favorite places to shoot engagement photography sessions.


1. Historic Millwork District

The Historic Millwork District in Dubuque, Iowa offers a lot of great photo opportunities for your engagement session. The brick on the buildings offers a great background, and provide a rustic look for your photos. You can also find gorgeous ivy covering the walls of buildings. The ivy provides another great added element to your photos. In the Millwork District you can also find beautiful courtyards for more elegant picture worthy shoots.



2. Fenelon Place Elevator

The Fenelon Place Elevator is a site to behold of the city of Dubuque. It provides an amazing view of the downtown. This is a great spot to go, if you are natives of Dubuque or met in Dubuque and want to capture the beauty of the city. Everyone will be able to see why you fell in love in the city of Dubuque with this view.



3. Mines of Spain

The Mines of Spain is a great place for engagement photos for couples who are adventurous and love nature. It provides a great landscape for your backgrounds for more casual engagement photography outfits. If you hike up to the Horseshoe Bluff located in Mines of Spain, it provides amazing views of the Mississippi river. This is a great backdrop for all of you nature lovers.



4. College Campus

If you went to college together at one of the three colleges in town, you may want to get some engagement photos there. Loras College in Dubuque, IA has beautiful white steps that lead up to Keane Hall, that are great for an elegant look to your photos. If you met at the University of Dubuque or Clarke University, taking an engagement picture in front of the school sign is definitely a necessity to showcase where you first met.



5. Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens

There is only one word to describe this place, and it is beautiful. The Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens has 52 acres filled with amazing things to use for the background of your engagement photos. We definitely recommend, if you are a nature lover.
