The leaves are changing colors, the weather is just right, and there are so many fun props you can add into your engagement photos! #1 Pick the perfect location to see the colorful trees in the background!
There are so many great locations for these particular photos in Dubuque, Iowa! One of our favorite spots is the Mines of Spain. You cannot beat the views in the fall. The trees are gorgeous, and the landscape makes the perfect background for your engagement photos! Another favorite location of ours is the Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. This is a stunning location in the fall! We love the landscape and the vibes it provides for our engagement photoshoots!
#2 Speaking of leaves, throw some leaves!
Having your photographer throwing leaves during your photos adds some movement to your photos and it ends up being so cute! We end up getting a ton of laughter and smiles during this type of photo! It ends up being a genuine photo showing some fun between the couple. We love doing this type of photo with couples who love to embrace the fall season.
#3 Add in some pumpkins for a prop!
Do you want to add some props into your fall engagement photo session? Pumpkins are a great option for this! We encourage pumpkins of varying sizes for some variety and framing in the photo. This is also a great option if you go to a pumpkin patch as one of your locations. They usually have a great photo opportunity with pumpkins and hay bales. If that doesn’t scream fall, I don’t know what will.
#4 Football
If you and your fiancé are HUGE football fans, it is a great idea to add in some football vibes to your engagement photoshoot. You can bring a football as a prop or find a football field to take some cute photos on. This is an especially great photo if you met during college and you or your fiancé played football!
